Chipotle is running a buy-one-get-one-free deal on Friday. Here’s what you need to know

Chipotle is running a deal on Friday that lets some customers take home two entrees for the price of one.

On Tuesday, the restaurant chain announced a one-day “Wear Your Hockey Jersey” program, offering a buy-one-get-one deal on entrees and kids meals for in-restaurant diners wearing a hockey jersey.

So, if you don’t wear a jersey or if you decide to order take-out, you don’t qualify.

The promotion is meant to celebrate “Hockey Week Across America,” an event that commemorates the moment the U.S. hockey team beat the Soviet Union on Feb. 21, 1980.

Chipotle is an official sponsor of USA Hockey. The promotion is limited to 10 free menu items per check. And the check can be collected only by the customer wearing the jersey.
