Is the stock market open on Memorial Day?

Reviews

U.S. financial markets will be closed May 25 in observance of Memorial Day.

The New York Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq will resume normal trading hours Tuesday. The NYSE is scheduled to reopen its trading floor to some brokers Tuesday after it went fully electronic for two months after two people tested positive for coronavirus.

The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association recommended the U.S. bond market close at 2 p.m. Eastern on Friday and remain closed on Monday.

U.S. commodities markets, including gold and oil futures, also won’t be open for trading Monday.

The next market holiday is July 3, in observance of Independence Day.
